Who we are:

NeuCyte is an early stage biopharmaceutical company that focuses on developing treatments for those suffering from neurological and neurodegenerative disorders. We develop translatable cell-based assays for modelling neuro related disorders using patient-derived and genetically-engineered neural cell types to discover novel therapeutics. Based on our SynFireTM technology, our proprietary human neural in vitro platforms assess complex electrophysiological and morphological readouts suited for target identification and validation, as well as drug efficacy testing.

What we're looking for:

NeuCyte is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our neuro drug discovery team and establish an automated, high-content imaging platform. The successful applicant must have a strong background in image acquisition, analysis and process automation. Experience with morphological analyses of neurons or related cell types is a plus. Applicants must feel comfortable with the creative freedom as well as fast pace of a small biotech company.

What you’ll do:

  • Establish high-content imaging assays using cutting-edge imaging and automation technology.

  •  In close collaboration with bioinformatics experts, develop analysis pipelines for large imaging data to extract relevant biological endpoints.

  •  Collaborate with our discovery team to identify and validate disease phenotypes and drug effects based on imaging data.

  •  Interact with collaborators and CROs relevant to our imaging platform.

  •  Establish and manage relationships with academic collaborators and/or CROs, including development of research plans and data analysis.

  •  Keep up with the technology field, review relevant literature, and evaluate imaging systems and analysis solutions.
